- Will dental jewelry damage my tooth?
Dental jewelry will not damage or harm the tooth as long as the professional uses good placement practices and quality materials.
- Can I remove my dental jewelry when I no longer want it?
Ideally, it should fall out naturally; however, dental jewelry is 100% removable. It will always be removed by a dental professional to avoid causing damage to the tooth surface.
- How long will my dental jewelry last on my tooth?
Dental jewelry can last from a few weeks to a year or more, depending on the placement of the product by the professional and your care, lifestyle, pH, acidic saliva, bruxism, among other factors.
- Does the placement process cause any pain?
It is a completely painless and non-invasive process.
- How long does the dental jewelry placement process take?
In about 15 minutes you will have your dental jewel placed.
- Can I brush my teeth normally?
Of course, 12 hours after inserting the dental implant, if you use a regular toothbrush (48 hours if you use an electric toothbrush), you can and should maintain regular oral hygiene. The implant is a new surface in your mouth, and plaque and dirt can accumulate on it.
- What happens if the jewel falls and I swallow it?
All of our jewelry is lead-free, nickel-free, and free of sharp edges, so it's absolutely fine if you swallow it. You'll eventually pass it naturally.
- Can I have my teeth cleaned and whitened with the jewelry in my tooth?
You can get your teeth cleaned without any problems. The area underneath the dental jewel is sealed like a filling, so it won't let any bacteria in.
If you have teeth whitening or use whitening strips, keep in mind that the lower part of the jewelry will not receive the treatment.
